CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Jefferson High School Senior, Aurora Stone, has been named Second Chair Bass in the West Virginia All-State Orchestra.
“Being named as a West Virginia All-State musician is one of the highest honors a student musician can achieve. We are all very proud of her," said her teacher, J.P. Lynch.
As a young musician, she has accomplished much. She has mastered many instruments including clarinet, bass, viola, and violin at very high proficiency. This year, alone, she has learned the trombone so her Jazz Class could have a trombone section.
Aurora plans to study music education at the University of Maine.
