Technology is playing an increasingly important role in education. To ensure access for students across the community, Jefferson County Schools (JCS) has supported the West Virginia Department of Education to create Wi-Fi hot spots on ALL SCHOOLS campuses through the Kids Connect Initiative.* JCS has also established critical partnerships with organizations and businesses throughout the community to offer FREE internet service to JCS students.

The Kids Connect network from the West Virginia Department of Education is up and active. Additional sites are being added as the installations continue around West Virginia. The initiative is intended for students who may have limited internet access at home to use as a resource to obtain lessons and deliver assignments. 

To access the Kids Connect Network (at a connected site):

1. On your device, select the WVKidsConnect SSID
2. If a browser does not open automatically, open a browser 
3. Read and accept the Terms of Use
4. Click the "Continue to Internet" button
