14 WHS All-State Choir Attendees pose in front of fall foliage

On October 26, Washington High School vocal students demonstrated exceptional talent and dedication at the WV American Choral Directors Association (WVACDA) All-State Choir auditions in Morgantown. Competing against 144 students from 17 schools statewide, 19 WHS students auditioned for spots in the prestigious ensemble. Each student worked hard to prepare, mastering six challenging songs, performing minor scales, sight-reading an unseen melody, and completing rhythm exercises in both simple and compound time.

The WHS Vocal Music Program is proud to announce that 14 of its students have been selected for the 64-voice choir, marking a record number of WHS singers chosen. Washington High School will proudly have more students in the WVACDA All-State Choir than any other school in West Virginia!

The students listed below will represent WHS at the ACDA All-State Conference in February. Congratulations to these talented musicians on their incredible achievement!
