CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. -- The Jefferson County Board of Education (JCBOE) has appointed Kelcie Springer as the new Director of Communication and Public Information for Jefferson County Schools. Springer brings a wealth of experience in K-12 and higher education communications, reflecting the JCBOE's continued commitment to excellence in education.
In her past roles, Springer has demonstrated an exceptional ability to engage multiple stakeholders with optimism and a forward-thinking attitude. She is excited to step into this new role with a focus on growing the JCS communications department with a three-pronged approach that includes:
- Transparent communication between schools and the JCS community
- Enhanced engagement with parents and guardians
- Elevating the stories of JCS students and staff
Born and raised in Jefferson County, Springer is a graduate of Jefferson County Schools, instilling in her a personal and professional commitment to the community and its residents. She follows in a long line of West Virginia educators, including her mother, grandparents, and great-grandfathers. Springer resides in Jefferson County with her husband, two children, and the family's dog. Her eldest daughter currently attends Pre-K in the district.
