Nearly two dozen teachers from Jefferson County Schools benefited from mini-grants of up to $500 each awarded by the Eastern West Virginia Community Foundation (EWVCF). The Eastern Panhandle non-profit joins philanthropic partners and individual donors to provide annual funding to assist with projects, materials, or classroom resources for teachers.
Mini-grants from the EWVCF serve to encourage and support teachers with creative ideas to enhance the learning experience for their students. They often offset the cost of classroom resources not covered by school budgets. Grant recipients must report on the expenditure of grant funds and the results of the project they supported.
