SHENANDOAH JUNCTION, W.Va. -- Two Jefferson High School (JHS) seniors are among the semifinalists in the 69th annual National Merit Scholarship Program. Lucca Parker and Britt Shoedel now advance to the Finalist level, where they will compete with more than 16,000 students nationwide for one of 2,500 National Merit Scholarships worth $2,500 each.
National Merit Scholarships are awarded on a state-representational basis. Representing less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors, the nationwide pool of Semifinalists includes the highest-scoring entrants in each state.
JCS congratulates Parker and Schoedel on this notable achievement and wishes them luck as they continue to showcase their academic talents as National Merit Scholarship finalists!
